Re: Monistat... dare we start this again
ok so im going to start monistat.. i have to.. i have some sort of fungal infection on my scalp.. unfortunatly my growth results might be tainted because i think im going to hop back on the vitamin wagon again at the same time.. and also possibly the winter hat wagon aswell.. (ive always had alot of growth whenever i would wear a warm hat all day)
ok so i was wondering about athelites foot spray..miconazole nitrate 2%
ive really gotta get rid of the infection its so itchy..
im a little worried about triggering a migraine.. but i guess i could deal with one in order to stop the itching flaking grossness..
plus my hair has basically stopped growing.. im thinking the infection might have something to do with it..
Re: Monistat... dare we start this again

i know its usually kind of fast but its stopped completely.. its strange to me.. im really not used to it.. its probably a combination of a few things.. lack of vitamins because i eat basically just plain pasta and red meat.. cold weather.. and also the fungal infection.. im guessing its mostly due to infection since ive always had good growth even with my poor diet.. but i did buy a hat today just incase its from my head being cold and i bought some vitamins..
its been so long since i last had to henna my roots.. i want to get it growing again and get rid of the awful itchy fungal infection..
well i got the equate 2% stuff from walmart.. my dad was paying so i couldnt get the name brand monistat.. the package i got has both the internal stuff and the external cream..
i also got athletes foot spray thats 2%miconazole..
my heads so itchy..
so tonight im going to wash my hair then ill apply the stuff to my scalp..
am i supposed to rub it in?
Re: Monistat... dare we start this again
I don't rub it in. Maybe a little to keep it from dripping but that's all.
For a real fungal infection, there's nothing like a hit of oral ketaconazole (sp). Doc needs to prescribe it.
I took a one-time heavy dose. It cured fungal infections I didn't even know I had.

Yeah me too! I am a diabetic so I sweat sugar and yeast loves sugar.
Everytime I take Diflucan it improves everything. The Doctor reminded me though that your not killing the yeast you are diminishing its numbers you never really kill it all you just hold it in check.

in the states it is not an OTC product.
If it works use it.
Some people, like my self don't use mineral oil products b/c the side effects (greasies, build up, acne...)
