Site excessively slow?

I don't want to come off as complaining, but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that the site has had a lot of issues with slowdowns recently? At times the site does not come up at all, and I get the "page cannot be displayed" error. Occasionally, I will get a "server is too busy, please try again later" error. This seems to happen at almost any time, so I don't think it is related to the usual overnight "server backup" maintenance. Oddly enough, at other times, the site works fine, and these slowdowns just seem totally random. However, they are definitely more frequent lately.

Hopefully, a mod or admin will have some insights, and thanks to anyone who replies.

Hi David!

I was having a sloooow time last night, and really unable to post because it would seem to "hang up", and then not be able to find the server. It's frustrating, but I have trouble finding things too! LOL! It was probably due to the server backup during maintenance as you said, however. Right now, I can't upload pictures into my albums. Thanks to anyone with helpful suggestions. (o:

It is very slow for me too. I haven't tried uploading anything yet, but it is very slow and often won't load at all.

Oh good, I'm not the only one. I thought I broke it when I tried to post a blog yesterday

I'm hoping a mod can tell us what's going on. Right now, I'm going to try and put as little stress on the server as possible.

Yes, yesterday and today and the site looks weird. For instance I can't see the emoticons at the moment. But at least I can get on the site today. Ugh, no LHC what kind of day would that be?!

The connection times out on me many many times, so I barely get through. It's not constant, but it happens a lot. During those times, I've noticed few other visitors on the forum. Wondering what's up.

If you get no emoticons, it means that the HTML successfully loaded, but the images didn't. For me, it lost the style sheet, so it showed up in my browser's default font and a white background instead of the usual. The style sheet is back, but I'm still missing the reply buttons, and of the post icons "Lightbulb", "Question", and "Talking" are missing.

Yes, I'm right there with you! The site is actually non-usable for me right now. Took many tries to get to this page and I wanted to contribute to this conversation. Yes! Yes! Please fix it! :P
