Okay, cool. I just don't want people to be angry at me... I'm into the whole serendipity thing these days, ya know?

(Also, in asking for the reserve, I identified myself as a member of the board. I wanted to have even that little speck of credibility - if I were her, I'd be worried about people reserving and never paying up, too.)

No offense! I think it´s all about the communication. Just can tell when your not getting your invoices paid in time. It´s often money I have to work with.
Maybe if the reservation is to point of time, so that everyone could see that, could help. Like ... is reserved for ... until.... Maybe some would pay faster and others could hold a hope.

Well, I know I'm one that has things on reserve for long periods of time... But, that's because my income is infrequent. She's told me that she understands that. I hope that's still the case and that I'm not hindering her business.

I guess thats between you and Nightblooming - after all its her shop and its her choice as to whether thats acceptable or not. She's a very kind person who likes people to enjoy her hair art.

I think alot of people have become frustrated with not being able to buy things as someone as reserved them immediately and then not paid for them for a long time - sometimes its obvious as to why as they go as soon as their customs come up, but for some they sit there for much longer. So I think thats why she's made a descision to enforce the 10 day reservation policy. I personally think this is more than fair - as it is a business and allows more people a chance to buy her lovely things. I guess you have to decide whether it is fair on her and other customers to sit on stuff for ages. Maybe she could do a lay away plan, I know some Etsy shops will do this. Though she may not want to go there - as that can get messy too and complicated.

You obviously know you've sat on stuff for a while - otherwise you wouldn't have said what you said, so I would suggest checking in with Nightblooming to see if she is happy for that to continue - as I said, its her shop and therefore her rules. So if shes happy its no-ones elses business. If she's not happy then you have to make a descision as to whether to let stuff go on general sale or not.

Yeah. I'm discussing it with her. This is just really unfortunate because I don't often have money and rarely do I have money at a time when she posts something I must have.

But, it is up to her. And I respect people upholding their shop polices. And, no matter what, I'm still a Night Blooming groupie. That will not change.

Just throwing this out - I had a series of several customs that because of needing to wait on materials, took a bit from the first one being listed to the last one being listed - when I convo'd her (prior to this shop policy change!) she said it was easier for her to calculate shipping if everything was bought at once... I don't really know how selling on Etsy works so maybe this doesn't make sense, but, could she take something off and then put it back on when the rest of the customs are done? I kinda figured, what with all the customs I ordered, that if I was meant to have something, it would still be available when things all the stuff came up for sale... but I did miss several sticks that I would have otherwise jumped on...

Pretty pretty! I would have bought it myself but I've got enough fancy single sticks and I rarely wear necklaces... I'm holding out for sets of sticks now. I really hope that a LHC'er gets it so that we get to see action shots though!!!!
