I don't have a sebum buildup problem. But, it does help the itch of a wet hot spot under your pony tail.

I know it's been a while since this was posted - didn't notice any replies either. So, just an FYI: the only difference between the oral and vaginal is location, location, location! BOTH are caused by an imbalance of Candida in the digestive tract. The quickest road to problems with it: antibiotics! and a high sugar diet. There is a 'spore' "manifestation" (for lack of a better word) that travels the blood stream that can cause muscle aches / pains - I think Fibromyalgia (?). Either one, it spells disaster for your system!

There, all you never really wanted to know about this coochie!

I can't tell you how many giggles I've had reading this particular thread! Let the giggles continue ... (Oh, I mean learning ... )

I measured my hair (like 10x). Since around January 1st I have gone from just over 27" to 28" (or even a little over, measuring is a challenge for me)!!!

Other benefits: my scalp is much less itchy and flaky (though I have been shampooing with sulfates every other day or every 2 days).

I have not noticed a reduction in shedding (I shed a LOT) - but I haven't been counting hairs.

I am using Monistat brand, 4%, undiluted. And I love it!! I've only applied about 5x total, so still have 3/4 of a tube left.

So I've used this twice in the last 3 days, and maybe this is my imagination, but I swear the teensy baby hairs on my hairline are longer. I've used it diluted in water both times, and had a slight headache the first time, but nothing bad. The flakes on my hairline seem to be reduced, as well. I'm going to wait and only use this on my hairline for the next two weeks and then decide if it's worth applying to my whole head, but I'm pretty impressed already.

Sounds good, pretty much like what I experienced in August. The new hair growth itches but it is a different kind of itch than damp scalp itch. The Monistat is great at getting rid of damp scalp itch or dandruff itch.

    That's wonderful, Beatrix!

okay, time for my very exact, very scientific measure-in .

It has now been two months since I started using MN and I measured it at the end of each month (to the very day actually). Each month, I had 1in growth. Unfortunately, I hadn't measured my hair monthly before this so I don't know what my monthly growth is normally, but I can tell you it's nowhere near an inch a month. It's probably closer to 1/2" or less a month.

Additionally, there is an abundance of baby hair sprouting that definitely wasn't there before I started MN and also noticeably less shedding. I'm completely overjoyed to see such results and I've been very careful to document them accurately so that I don't fall into the placebo effect zone.

I haven't noticed a change in sebum production one way or another and I haven't gotten a single headache from MN (perhaps this is due to the diluted application I use?). Sometimes I feel like I can almost feel my hair growing. My scalp feels itchy sometimes (even when I don't have MN on my head), but not in a dandruff/psoriasis/scalp irritation kind of way, but more of a tingly scalp stimulation kind of way. I'm sure the other users know exactly the sensation of which I speak.

My technique is this: I take a hair dye application bottle (the kind with the pointy nozzle) and fill it with a hair under 1oz warm water (I hypothesize the warm water helps my pores open so the product is absorbed more effectively). I then give a good squirt of 2%MN (probably a couple of inches worth) and shake the mixture vigorously until well combined. Then, I squirt it onto my scalp and massage it in. I leave it on for 2+ hours depending on how much time I have (sometimes I leave it overnight) then I shower as usual. I have found this technique to be very effective.

that is very encouraging. I've been using the Dektarin, because we don't have monistat here. But I bought some from the US and it arrived yesterday. I don't think it matters much which brand I use, I just wanted to try it.

I'll be measuring on Saturday - that's one month to when I started using MN. So far I'm sure that I've seen an increase in growth.

As somone who measures religiously I can tell you that I grow EXACTLY 1/2 inch a month - and did for 5 years. So if there is a change it would have to be because of the MN

I applied for the third time this month today. I keep forgetting. I have it heavily diluted because i'm stingy. And I apply it undiluted on the thinning temples and balding area on my part line/widows peak at the front.
I'm not measuring...I'll just have to judge with photos, if i use it for 3 months and i'm at waist when i should be there in 6 months then it works yes? I think every little bit counts!
No increase in shedding that i can see??
