Filiadeluna- Im also 25 and feel the same way(I'm a weeny). Self check outs at walmart are fantastic. While it's slightly embarrassing to buy yeast infection cream, it's more embarrassing (to me) to be seen buying it every month, or in bulk. Cause I'm totally sure the people at the super walmart will remember me, out of the 50 trillion people a day they see....

See, condoms, don't embarrass me at all. I have bought them from the drug store near my house where I'm sure the the little old lady thinks I'm...busy. My friend got married and we "decorated" her house with condoms blown up as balloons, so I bought like 5 boxes....got some interesting looks from her.

Haha. I'm still somewhat embarrassed to buy condoms, and even tampons! Go figure. I used to make my husband buy the condoms most of the time, or pick them up at the health department for free. We don't have to buy condoms anymore though, since we're TTC.

Just posting this since I say it today. I just decided to try the brand name version as soon as my generic tube finishes so I didn't pick it up, but at a Dollar Tree today, I saw a 2% 16oz generic tube. I have no idea if it would be worth it or what, though. Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for.

I don't remember seeing this when looking through the thread: how long do you keep it on your scalp? Overnight?

    Thanks.

For as long as you want. I know that sounds glib, but it is true.

As it makes my scalp greasy, I put it on the day before I wash, which ends up being about 3 times per week.

You can leave it on your scalp for as long as you want, I think of it like a moisturiser, or the same way I would if I were using it for tinea.

I don't take it out. Until it's time to wash my hair. Every day ( or so, about 5 days week in practice) I put in about an inch. It isn't greasey to my hair, but then I don't use a carrier oil.

I leave it in till my next wash 2 to 5 days. Sometimes I reapply on it the day before I wash. It doesn’t make my hair greasy, although I have seen my hair a bit more flakey, and the shedding is the same as before I tried Monistat, I think I am going to buy nizoral shampoo and see if that helps.
Chopped my hair off a couple months ago, after having it for 8 years. On to the growing process once again! Here we go!!!

Well, I tried some Monistat for the first time last night - the 2% stuff - rubbed it on my scalp. Within a minute I was dizzy. All evening I felt heavy-headed and dizzy... this morning it's better, but I don't think I'll be trying that again any time soon... Just thought I'd post my reaction to it, so others may be aware
