Default anything to keep fresh dye in better - vinegar, maybe?

Getting my hair dyed tomorrow, it's only a semi permanent, so I'm sure it will fade fast, anything I can do to help prevent that, besides "don't wash it" lol. I have coconut oil in right now to help prevent damage from the pre-dye bleaching, and i know from experience that coconut oil is HARD to get out of my hair, and will look really greasy afterwards - that's usually when I have to wash More and Harder, not less and gentler. :/
I was thinking maybe vinegar rinse? Isn't that something you use with laundry to lock in dye? or maybe it was easter eggs or something. Lol.
Anyway, If so, if vinegar will help, is it white or ACV?

I would consider a protein filler beforehand. And yes, dyers do use vinegar to "set" the dye. It certainly won't hurt to finish off your dye job with an ACV rinse. I'd mix it with a hair friendly herbal tea at a ratio of about 1 part ACV to 5 or 6 parts tea.
