This photo is from 2 year ago. The bottom of my hair is in early morning light while above my shoulders is in the shade. My hair has some extreme braid waves in this photo as well.

HaMalka that is a truly stunning photo & the braidwaves really suit it!

There's no sunlight today, so I looked for an older photo too. It was a day after a heavy oiling treatment, with henna, but it has that light x shadow contrast:
