Thank you so much! Pictures really put things into perspective, I honestly didn't think my hair grew that much until I saw the pictures.

Cool Re: Knee Length Curly Hair?

I'm late for a very important update!

I was too busy to straighten my hair in December, however, I did measure it and things got a little weird. When I pull my hair down it reaches the 25 inch mark on my body (Waist length) but when I measured my hair it was about 23 inches , I'm not sure what I did wrong while measuring with the tape. Anywho, I thought I was waist length before, yet, after looking at my photos I think I was just approaching waist length last year. As a plus size women it's hard to see a difference in length, I feel as if my size makes my hair look short ( maybe I'm delusional) and it can be a bit discouraging at times. With that said, I know for a fact that my waist is 25 inches from my scalp so the fact that my hair now reaches to my waist roll, lol, means I've retained 6 inches of growth last year! Somebody throw me a hair dance party! I am happy I was able to say "no" to my handsome scissors, it wasn't easy turning him down, he's such a charmer, I feel accomplished and strong, hahaha!

On another note, I have loads of split ends! It is split end CITY! Thankfully, Olaplex exists and since i'm a professional I was able to get the salon treatment, I did the treatment on my mom and I last week; boy oh boy does it work miracles! It's not permeant but it does seal split ends over time. I noticed a huge difference in my split ends and texture after one use! The whole Olaplex line had me in awe while doing my hair routine in the shower, my hair feels like the MOST expensive silk! I will be doing this weekly for 3 months (along with protein treatments) to see if it completely gets rid of these splits, I will keep you updated! I also found a permeant hair bonder named "K18" that I am dying to try but I have a severe Gluten allergy and this treatment contains wheat... I need to do some research to figure out if it will cause an allergic reaction, I will update on that as well!

Overall, I am happy with my hair, I can feel the length when I style and i'm excited to see where I am next January! I'm most excited for Hip- Length (35 inches) because that's a huge milestone for me, I've never allowed my hair to grow past waist. For the first time I have stopped cutting and started figuring out how I could repair my hair instead, If it wasn't for bonding treatments I would only have protein and oils to aide my splits ( I used oils since my first day natural and I have never ever stopped). I think I'll start trimming off 2 inches a year once I reach thigh-length just to get rid of the older split hairs, I think I want thicker ends when I reach knee-length (just a thought for now).

I'm also going to test out some hair growth tricks this year... I will make another post all about that because I want to know if I can get 1 1/2 inches of growth consistently for a few months, I'm so excited for this experiment!

    P.S
I'm wearing an old t-shirt I found in my moms closet, lol.

My hair was measuring at 18 inches (right side) and 19 inches (left side) which is just under my bra strap.

    Update #2

Okay, so I straightened my hair today for my birthday and I am not happy, lol! My hair is longer but I wish I had thicker hair, I always forget how thin my hair looks when it's straight (my curly girls understand), nevertheless, here are some more pictures.

I think I already said this on a different thread you've posted photos to, but that "ruler shirt" is genius!
