Beaky,
I am reading your posts and feel your pain. I posted a new thread earlier today that I feel like shaving my head and starting all over again. I, too lost a lot of hair a couple of years ago and it has never been the same. I think my hair was best when I was in my mid 20's. Of course, I torture myself by looking at old pictures...you can really make yourself neurotic by doing this.Anywho, just wanted to say, hi" and lend some support.

Welcome Beaky
When I joined this site my hair was in a pixie cut, and about an i in thickness too. Now it is about 2 inches shy of waist and an ii.
My best advice is to just be nice to it and ignore it. I would say don't cut it yet, but find a cleansing and conditioning routine that works for you until it gets a bit longer. I found when my pixie grew out my hair was very uneven. I would suggest waiting until you can have a blunt bob cut, because if you cut it now you will want to cut it again when it's grown to shoulders and looks scraggly, know what i mean?
Plus you can really likely save some hair with deep treatments.
I lost hair on a medication too... so I feel you on that. Hopefully you can learn here how to take excellent care of your current and future hair.
Hi Beakywitch im new to this site too! I started growing my hair about 7-8 months ago from shaved. The back is now 9 inches and the top is just above the ears now! It's a complete mullet to the extreme, like really bad but ill be happy once i have long hair!
I grew out from bald, as well. It's so frustrating when you realize how far you have to go, and the reshaping is sometimes a big pain. But believe me, before you know it, it'll be longer.![]()
Yea i love growing it long now. Damn i really wish i would of started this earlier lol. But you are right patience is the key really and i have alot of that. I have no desire to cut it for a long long while.
