What Decided Your Goal Length?

My goal length is thigh, and I voted for a little bit of both. On me, it's the best looking length, so it's mostly for vanity, but it's still practical because I can still reach the ends of my hair, and I won't be stepping on it.

I want it long but not so long I will be afraid to ever wear it down in public because of possible damage, or sitting on it, and being able to wear it in a ponytail without it getting in my way when doing physical activities. It's a mix of I LOVE long hair and... I know once it got to a certain point I would have issues controlling it.

Vanity. I had short hair style sfor years and I still feel long hair style is more ME.

A little of both, as I only recently found out that vanity (= classic length, in my case) can be really annoying. So I cut back to a bit past tailbone in December - I was just fed up with sitting on my hair even when it was in a braid

And I'm very happy with my more practical length, especially since it has improved the thickness in the ends (I'm beginning to see real progress in my thin ends - yay!).

I chose hip length 1) because I like the way it looks and 2) because it will be about hip length when i graduate (and hopefully join the army, when ill probably cut it back some)

Practical for me. I want long hair (TBL) but don't want to fuss too much because I'm far too active and wash every day

For me practicality wins, but that doesn't stop the length from going very long. I wear my hair up at all times for practical reasons and I hat to have ANY hair in my face. Longer hair is easier to put up with more options. So thigh length is practical when worn up at all times and washed once a week or less.

It is vanity all the way here. I think the most beautiful length on a woman is between waist and tailbone (I guess hip length), cut in layers to a V or fairy tale ends. I like it on others. I want to look like that. So I will.
