That's why I sprayed my spin pins and other hair pins with a copper lacqeur to get the brass color out - they shall be invisible, not shiny in the bun. Of course with the Flexi it is different, but I love that tarnished antique look of copper ans silver likewise.

Here's the bun I posted about a few days ago in the How are you wearing your hair today? Thread.
It isn't spectacular, but it was fun to do, and required more time and energy than any other buns I've done in a while

Thanks! I liked how many times I managed to make it go around, and am still proud, not that I really controlled it, of how centered it ended up

    Hi Braided Lady,

that twisted Beehive Bun doesn't look ta'abaan at all.

I have a Celtic Knot (is this called here so?), where you make a knot, but you don't put the hair rest out of the knot thoroughly, but just the beginning of the hair rest to shape a smaller loop, Then you insert the stick, fork there into the second loop and the ends of the stick/fork come out where the ends of the big knot loop do meet. The bun in the end should have an evenly three-partitioned shape.

My helix bun today. I don't often wear them as they don't hold well for me.
