I'm very glad I recently bought a Wet Detangler Tangle Teezer hairbrush. It slides through my hair much more easily than any other comb or brush I've been using.
There's no doubt that its a vast improvement on the original Tangle Teezer as far as I'm concerned.

I LOVE the TT wet detangler!! I use it on damp and dry hair, also on slightly oiled hair.
I clean it with shampoo and a little brushcleanerbrush from ali express.

Mine needs to be replaced, so I went to the site and discovered there are now 2 types of wet detanglers!!
A regular one, and also a Fine & Fragile one!
Going to get the F&F wet detangler as my hair is getting finer and thinner.

AND, they now have a special Pet Tangle Teezer
(I already used my first original TT for my longhaired dog, I didn't like it fot myself without a handle)

I was wondering, when do you exchange it? My wet detangler of two years starts to get bendy brizles at the most outward row. Not sure if it's transportation damage or a too hot water bath lol. It can't be the pressure during detangling, because I'm super careful.
To answer the original most recent question:
I have my wet detangler for 3 years I think, and I use it 1x sometimes 2x a day. (wet and dry)
Because I also use it on oiled hair I clean it in very hot water with shampoo.
Some of the bristles are a bit bend now. But that can also be due to the little brushcleaningbrush, I do not do that very careful LOL

I haven't had mine for a very long time, but my girls loved the tangle teezer (partly because it has the name tangle teezer). In all seriousness though, it's been great for brushing conditioner through the hair, it's very gentle and detangles well. My 7 year old has very long hair and it's much less prone to tangling when I gently brush the conditioner through. It's been a great purchase for me because it makes brushing little girl heads of hair much more pleasant for them. Hopefully it will last a long time.

I keep going back and forth because some people say TT causes splits. Still, each time I threw out my TT I ended up buying one again because no other brush can detangle and remove shed hairs like this one. I've tried the classic and fine and fragile, but the Thick and Curly is my absolute favorite.

I love my Tangle Teezers! I have the Original and the Compact, and bought the Fine & Fragile for a family member. They detangle and remove the sheds pain-free! Now that they've been in use for maybe 3 years, I haven't noticed any additional splits. Probably less since they are so gentle and not breaking hairs or tearing through knots. I used to have very bad problems with static but not anymore. That was most likely due to the wool sweaters I used to wear.

I’m going to Ulta today to shop for Tangle Teezers. They have a stronger curly hair one that sounds interesting.

I have one with a handle that's marketed for wet hair. I don't brush or comb my hair when wet but my TT works GREAT on my air-dried hair. I'm really happy with my purchase.

Hurray! I've reached tailbone length! Last trim 1-2-23.

WD, I myself would definitely be tempted by ones with a handle! So easy. I bought (in my back-up stash) some dupes like that. Currently using my wet brushes though, but might get "back into it" some day.
