Mrstran you are welcome! Fred I saw a woman in the park today with a medieval look to her hair (which was at WL). So envious!
Hair is flipping like mad at the moment but a squeeze of honey in my conditioner is helping to keep it tamed. Although I love coconut oil it makes my hair brittle.
I've been absent from LHC for the last few months, but today is my 1 year anniversary of buzzing off all my hair! So I was inspired to check back in.
Recently I reached a chin-length bob, so I guess I've graduated from the "super shorties" thread to here
Almost all of my funky layers are grown out (I've trimmed along the way, or else my longer layers would have more length, but I had to keep things at least semi-even) and I do currently have some funky waves that are growing out into weird flippy ends, but overall I'm really happy with the progress and where it's at.
Shanawavy And no I have secondhand hair envy, that sounds so lovely!
I've not tried honey in conditioner, I'm tempted now though. I keep meaning to try a SMT (I have so many aloes in my house!), but I haven't got around to it yet.
When it's wet, it's just past collarbone. This isn't the best pic - if I'd bothered to comb out my hair it'd be clearer! But hopefully you can see the curl lying kinda in the hollow of my collarbone (I'm one of these people with kinda prominent collarbones, so yay for easily accessible body markers!).
Dry, it's definitely resting on my shoulders, getting in the way of cardigan collars, tucking itself under my dress straps and being a general nuisance when down.
These two pics were taken at the same time - I love how the light changes the colour! The pink is the closest to how it actually is right now. The flick at the back is thanks to the teeny tiny bun I can finally keep it in at work! Makes it flick like crazy when it's down, but it gets it out of the way and the ends are all covered.
So I guess I'm graduating the thread. I'm still totally cheering you all on though
Congratulations Fred
Your hair looks in great condition - and what a pretty colour!
Mine is shoulder when wet. I have a couple of months to go...not long now!
Hello All! I have recently decided to try to grow my hair out once again after a big chop from BSL to pixie-like with an undercut in April 2016. So far, after 2 other major cuts, I am at chin length, if not a bit below that. Chin measures as 15" on me with collarbone/shoulder being 18". I am really hoping this thread can help me be not as frustrated about growing out my hair from the last time I tried.
Cheers to good growth!
Welcome Renora25 and happy growing! If you find yourself wavering, just post here. I was on the verge of cutting even shorter recently, but have found the friendliness and helpfulness of the posters here have kept me growing instead. Maybe think about joining one of the no trimming threads?
