Ok so I would be at other people's houses and, say, have to u se their restroom and see brushes just FULL OF HAIR. Eww. That is one reason I asked the question! I am PLEASED to see so many others out there like me

I de-hair my brush daily - or every time I use it, depending on how much hair is in it.
When I was a little kid and went to summer camp that was one of the things they taught us, along with making our beds, lining up our shoes by pairs under our little beds, and putting away our clothes.
I have a hair reciever thing and every now and then I'll take all the hair out to my compost heap and cut it up fine and throw it in there, why not? Maybe some minerals will get into my soil.

My hair is pretty short at the moment so about once a week is enough, when I'm shedding poodles (read: failed hair experiment) then every single time.
