Definitely look into seeing a dermatologist. 2% Nizoral is the best treatment I have ever had for my SD, and I tried a lot in my day (I am 46 and had this since I was a baby).
WCC method (washing) --- Rinse-out oil (MO) --- LOC/LCO method (styling)

Bumping this again because I have pretty much this exact thing at the nape of my neck. It's only about a month and a half old at this point, but it's red and inflamed and either it, me picking at it, or a combination, has left my hairline a funny shape.

I've started using manuka honey, zinc oxide cream and also just barely used Nizoral for the first time. Here's hoping something works.

You should search for a doctor. You need to be tested to confirm it's caused by fungus, may be psoriasis, eczema, chemical burning, etc.

This thread is 16 years old. It's that time again when things get "pulled from the crypt".
