It’s good as a body moisturiser on damp skin, as a make up remover, a cleanser (wash off with hot flannel). If you don’t like the coconut smell on your skin then resign it to the kitchen and cook with it.

I’ve been using this oil along in conjunction with the hair burst shampoo for hair growth and I’m excited for results. I’m going to be massaging my head daily along with using the oil once after hair washing and before hair washing. This stuff looks amazing because it’s got no nasties in it and has castor oil and all the oils that promote hair growth (scientifically) so I’m excited haha.

it’s also got stuff to help with seborrheic dermatitis in it so that’s a plus!
I'm loving the castor oil. I haven't been doing it very long but I'm seeing good results. I'm thinking about blending castor oil and miconazole 4% together to use. I've used miconazole in the past to help with itchy scalp and hair growth with decent results. I only used the 2% back then though. The castor oil I know for a fact is helping with my scalp and my hair looks better/thicker/a little longer.
I'm trying castor oil to my routine.
I like to do a pre-shampoo oiling with coconut oil so I mixed castor and coconut oil at about 1:3 ratio. I made sure to massage my scalp, but my lengths and ends got a good dose of it too. I'll let it sit for an hour before washing it out.
I'm keen to give this a go for a couple of months :eye:
Edit: happy to say that the oil washed out easily.
Is using castor oil better than using a shampoo with castor oil in it? I am trying to decide between trying Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil shampoo or just buying some castor oil.
I've been wondering too. Or what about just adding castor oil to your regular shampoo?
That has crossed my mind. Or just massaging some into my scalp.
castor oil does work for awhile I find -- although I would say it does take some time to clean out of your hair and can leave it very greasy even if it's been washed out.
But I also have finer hair.
I personally prefer to use rosemary and mint oil as well as leave in conditioners and keratin spray for my hair, and take vitamins that include Biotin. I find it helps. :D
I didn't notice any growth, I use it on my ends since I've got the bottle and need to use it, but don't plan on repurchasing.
