For those looking for a heat cap-

I was looking for one for ages that wasn't ugly and didn't tie me down to an outlet, these look perfect and appear roomy. She emailed me she is not making them anymore though, so what's on the site is the last of them.

Hey, those are cute! DS told me I look "like a wolf" when I'm wearing my big plastic plug-in Mastex heat cap. The mind of a 3-year-old is a mysterious thing.

Yes I did notice a difference. But this time around I used a conditioner with Dimeticone in it so that might have done it too. The down side is that it takes me 6-7 tried to make a bun because my hair is so slippery. lol

sorry to report that my first SMT didn't produce the results I was hoping for. It actually didn't produce ANY results. My hair was exactly the same. I used:
    4 tblsp biolage conditioning balm
1 tblsp fruit of the earth aloe gel
    1 tblsp bear honey

warmed in microwave for 12 seconds, applied to freshly cleansed damp hair. Used a plastic bag with a towel wrapped over that. waited an hour then rinsed.
oh well, i suppose one thing can't work for everyone.

Wow, that is almost exactly the same recipe as I use and I love it. I am sorry it didn't do much for you. Maybe your hair is just in such awesome shape it didn't need any moisture?

I'm sitting in my first SMT now.

Used multiflower honey (1tbsp) a palm oil/avocado no-cone condish (4 tbsp) and aloe juice (1tbsp) as aloe gel is absolutely impossible to get.

I already cleaned my cats ears and now gong to pracitice some harp and then it's shower time. I'm really excited

First SMT in process! I used one of the silicone free Tresemme Naturals + honey + aloe + a little bit of olive oil and a little bit of Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition. I went all out!
Is it okay that I only wet my hair before this, instead of washing it?
Also after reading about heat caps I went and microwaved a wheat bag and now I have that sitting on top of my shower cap. Haha, so glad I'm home alone, I'm sure I'd get a few laughs if anyone were to see me right now.

Yes - I do this weekly as a CO-wash; however, I don't add olive oil as you did, and I apply quite a lot of the mixture at my scalp to scrub it clean.

SMT also gives especially dramatic results when used after washing the entire length with clarifying shampoo, but I think it better to SMT much more often than you clarify.

I added more conditioner, particularly to my scalp, when I washed it out. Hopefully it works out, it's still drying. I probably should've done a basic SMT for my first trial, I guess I just got too excited.
