I'd prefer whole, if possible.

Hi mellie I have bought from Ishopindian.com before and they have Aritha in powder and whole nuts. They also have good prices here is a link. Aritha 100 grams for $2.99. HTH Catladyintown

Does aritha darken hair? I'd like to try it, but don't want to change the silver color.
I don't think that it darkens. Can anyone answer that? I know that Soapwort doesn't.
It was funny, I was shopping online and comparing prices, and trying to decide which place to order my soapnuts from, and my DH said, "Why don't you look on Amazon? They have everything!" And I said, "Oh, I'm sure they wouldn't have it, it's something you have to get at Indian grocery stores." He said, "Try it!" And you know what, he was right! Amazon.com sells soapnuts!
OK, I did my first soapnut shampoo today! My hair looks and feels great! Smells a little funny to me (hard to describe, kind of nut/berry-ish, I guess?) so I added just one drop of Lemon E.O. which was much better to me.
I followed up with a horsetail and nettle rinse. Fabulous!
