Ima say you are 3a.. I'm saying this because at your length, the weight is pulling down the curls. So if you where to cut your hair much shorter and thus lighter, it will curl much more. This is what I am basing my categorizing in. A person with 2c/2b hair at that length would loose any curls. Their hair would just wave slightly. I am 3c. The longer the hair, the less curls, because of weight, not a change in hair type. So I would have to say your hair is 3a at least. But it looks 2c/2b right now.

hm. i didn't consider the weight stretching out the curls. too bad i always flattened them out when my hair was shorter. :/ i've also been interested in the curly girl method. i wonder if trying it out will make a difference?

I believe the Curly Girl method with strengthen your curl pattern, and in that case you are a true 3A. For some reason I assumed you were already practicing the method.
