    Red face Hello from dancingfrog

Hello Ladies, and hello also to the gents I have noticed around the board!

I am dancingfrog, and I am trying to become friends with my hair.

A few months ago, I wore my hair down at work instead of in my usual ponytail. My co-workers commented on how long it is now (to the bottom of my bra on my back), and how beautiful. The "beautiful" part surprised me, because my hair and I have pretty much been at war for years ...

I think I need to name my hair, but for now, "it" ...

... looks blonde but I don't know what that's about since I have so much grey!
... is floofy-looking on the outermost layer with lots of flyaway
... hasn't been coloured in years, except for the occasional Manic Panic streaks, just for fun

My dance journey is somewhat inspiring my hair journey. I bellydance and love to delve into different styles. Hair and its movement can add a lot to middle Eastern dance, and I want that.

Paying more attention to my hair and learning how to protect it and style it (I am style-impaired) is part of taking care of me, and that's something I am paying more attention to generally, as a gift to myself.

I have already learned a lot reading through the some of the threads, and I look forward to spending more time here!

    Thanks
    dancingfrog

Ha ha, no need to name your hair It part of you and not an individual being Getting friends with your own hair is a good goal, though. When you achieve that, you will be much happier, at least that my own experience.

Welcome, and hope to see you around the boards!

Welcome! I remember practicing belly dancing on my own at home. It was fun and the belly dancing helped me out with hula dancing later on. Have fun looking through the threads
