Hi all,

I'm a long term lurker/fan of LHC and wanted to participate as taking care of my long hair has become one of my main hobbies! I have mid back-length hair I am hoping to get to classic length. My hair is currently the longest it's ever been. Usually I get frustrated by the time it gets to my shoulders, but since I've learned how to take care of it, it grows faster than I can keep up with as i'm retaining length well! I have also recently made the switch to trimming my own hair and doing everything myself after many times trusting hair stylists too much and getting too many trendy haircuts that are a pain to grow out. I'm very excited to learn from you all and hope I can contribute positively as well.

I agree. Sometimes I wondered if going to salons held me back. Now i see most salons as preferring trendy haircuts that make you come in every couple months to refresh. I didn't even know long hair salons were a thing until this forum!
