Neither of these work, but will dry the hell out of your hair.

Henna binds to the hair via Michael addition, which is an insanely stable chemical bond.

There were several threads over the years dedicated to removing henna, and about the only thing that sometimes worked was ColorFix or ColorB4, but in many cases this just un-oxidized the henna, and then it re-oxidized at a later date.

A lot of the methods you see online (vodka, baking soda, etc.) simply damage the hair enough so the hair loses protein (that you will not get back with a protein treatment, I mean you're damaging the very structure of the hair, and causing it to lose scales), which is what the henna is bonded to, so you lose some henna, too.

Nightshade said it all. I just want to add, that anyone trying to in any way remove indigo, has to be prepared to live with green hair. If not, then just don't attempt it.

I will be using my method in the few months to come and I will share my results here .
I'm really sure that I will not have green hair.

I'm not saying that it's impossible. I'm saying that green hair is a common outcome and if you're not ready for rocking green hair or have a back up plan, it's not very wise to go down that road.

Yes, green is a common outcome when you use bleach, colour remover, any acidic solutions ( like lightening with lemon juice or citric acid) . Green comes from indigo that oxidised.
I'm using a method that is not oxidising indigo, its dissolving it. That's a difference

Well, you'll need to wait some time it's a long-term project.
Assuming that I'm doing the treatment once in 2 weeks and it takes 5 to 10 treatments to start seeing the difference, I would say ... June-July

Putting it in my signature because I have to say it so often:
Do what works for your hair, not what other people say is "right" or "wrong." If it works for you, it's not wrong. If it doesn't work for you, it's not right.
