Regular brush (Tangle Teezer), usually only before washing unless I specifically want the brushed out look for some reason.

I love the feeling of brushing my hair, but I only brush 2x week before washing my hair. I gently detangle with my tangle teezer, then use a wooden brush to massage my scalp. The rest of the time I just use water+leave-in conditioner and scrunch to reset my hair.

    Hi,

I hated it, when my mom did brush my hair with such a half round plastic brush initially made for making a hemline curl into the ends. In my early twenties I discovered wide teeth combs and with such one I was very happy for a long time and didn't brush anymore.

Then I discovered NW/SO and I made it with a TangleTeezer, just to find out that the bristles are very short and too much bending IMHO. But the advantage of such brushes like the TT: The bristles are parallel, while with most regular brushes, the bristles are coming from a cushion from where they spread into all directions. That is not very ergonomic for the hair.

I then bought dog brushes with steel bristles - one of them with bristles of nearly one Inch (2,3cm) length and I cut the cushion and glued it that way into the wooden bed, that the bristles are parallel now. This is the perfect brush for me, but I need a special kitchen brush to clean it, because I don't want to make a similar brush for rubbing the two of them against each other under warm water, which I do with the TangleTeezers usually, because they all have the same bristle length to clean not only the whole bristles but also their ground.

So I first comb my hair and then I do brush it and it takes me around 10 minutes every morning.

WIDE tooth comb, bottom up, in general.

But also my hands. For initial detangling after washing and thorough drying, I pull my hair apart laterally, top down, in sections rather than trying to work something down the length like a comb or my fingers (which just tightens any crossings lower down).

I use a wet brush and (occasionally) a bristle brush. I used to use a wide tooth comb but I wasn't sure if it was doing more harm than good for my hair... might've been overthinking it though.

Combs (from wide toothed to fine toothed and one in between) + a BBB. I can finger comb some days, but not more than a day or two. Then I have to comb through my hair.

I fingercomb mainly, but do comb/brush my hair out on wash day.

I generally finger comb or use a wide tooth comb. If I don't care that my hair will become big and frizzy, I'll brush it gently

Fingers only. It's all my hair will tolerate. Combs and brushes are like weapons of destruction. I suppose there are very soft brushes out there that I can use, but I guess I couldn't be bothered to find them.
