Twice a year, but just very little. Even though my hair is virgin and rather short, my ends tend to get very dry.

I trim about every 2 -3 months. My ends will lose shape and my long layers start to do strange things. When I trim, I usually take no more than 1/4" off the bottom. For my layers I'll take about 1/4" - 1" off. My layers are in transition so while I have to trim them more than I'd like, it's to get them looking right.

I've been a two or three times a year trimmer for a good long while, but my new plan calls for smaller, more frequent trims in the coming year.

I trimmed a lot last year to get rid of dammage... maybe a total of 5 inches ...
next year : every 2-3 months, maybe around 1/2 or 1 cm each time (I'm looking for health before lenght, so I'm being patient to reach my goal (waist) ... )

Twice a year is perfect for me. A year is the longest I've waited: that was too long and I actually got to experience funky ends and splits, which I usually never get.
I like the symmetry of doing it twice a year, too: it feels seasonal to me to get one trim in summer and one in winter. Don't ask me why, it just feels right! I just scheduled this winter's trim for next week.

Whenever needed. I don't have a set schedule so just whenever it's looking raggedy.

I trim monthly to thicken my ends.

I usually trim twice a year, but i'm now in for the 1 year challenge. it has been a little over 6 months now but i'm really in the need of oneProbably get a cut in march instead of may.
BCL right now w a thick hemline. Aiming for classic this year

I trim on full moons... when I notice it's a full moon. hehehe Sometimes I miss it. A friend of mine swears by this method - she grew nearly a foot of hair in a year while doing it.

About every 9-12 months, but I voted once a year. I try and time it on the lunar calendar; I don't know whether there's anything in it, but I figured it can't hurt. I normally end up trimming 3 times every two years.
I've been growing out layers for my last few trims, so it's been 2" a pop, but I'm planning to go down to 1" (or as necessary) when my layers are completely gone.
